TDP Heat Lamp Basic Guideline
1) Please note that the heat lamp will take approximately 10 minutes to warm up. After preheating for 10 minutes, please allow an additional 10 minutes for the temperature to increase.
2) As a general guideline, the distance between the treatment surface and the heating head should be approximately 8-10 inches. Positioning the heating head closer than 8" to the body is not recommended, as burns or damages to the skin may occur. Actual positioning of the TDP head may be adjusted to reach the desired level of heat.
3) A minimum of 40 minutes per treatment session on the targeted area is recommended. Please note that the treatment time for a given session may vary depending on the condition being treated.
4) For treatment purposes, the heat lamp only provides enough heat for therapeutic heat treatments. Please do not expect a higher temperature range, as higher temperatures may cause the skin to overheat and burn.
If the TDP does not heat up, follow the steps below.
1. Turn on the power and check if the orange indicator light turns on. If it does not turn on, replace the two fuses.
To replace the fuses: Open the two fuse cases on the back of the control panel using a Phillips-head screwdriver and replace the fuses in the fuse cases.
2. If the orange indicator light is on and there is no heat, the heating coil located inside the TDP head is broken or has reached the end of its life, so replace the heating coil or replace the head itself.
Replacing the head is very easy, but replacing the heating coil is more time-consuming, as shown in the instructions(1~11) listed above.
